Silverdale antenatal classes – for babies due September and October 2021
8 July 2021 , 6:45pm to 12 August 2021 , 6:45pm
Come and join us for this six week antenatal course and learn everything you need to know about childbirth and practical parenting. Our Silverdale classes are held at The Haven in a friendly, non-judgmental and comfortable environment.
Our childbirth educators are qualified, friendly, experienced and parents themselves. Oh, and I did I mention that they love babies. They will most definitely gate-crash your coffee group once babies arrive for cuddles!
Over the six weeks we will cover a variety of important topics, ranging from childbirth education to practical parenting skills. Other topics we cover are:
- stages of labour
- Informed decision making
- infant feeding
- hormones and their purposes
- self-help techniques
- pain management
- post-natal disorders
- baby cues
- safe sleep and lots more.
A private Facebook page will be set up for each of our groups at the beginning of the course. This enables us to provide you with useful links and relevant information. It also creates a forum where you can share with each other.
Support is key when you have your baby. Being part of a coffee group allows you to chat with other parents going through a similar journey at the same time. This creates a bond and level of understanding like no other. Long term friendships are often formed and continue well after your babies grow up.
Class begin at 6:45pm sharp (we have a lot to cover) and finish at 9:00pm. We have a short break around 8:00pm where refreshments will be provided (water, tea, coffee, biscuits etc).
