Hi, I’m Vicki. I have two daughters, Beatrix aged 7 and Indigo who is 4. I am passionate about all things birth and babies and, after Bea was born, I decided to completely retrain and become a childbirth educator myself. I am also a certified infant massage instructor and a facilitator for the ‘Space for you and your baby’ programme, designed to support parents through the first year of their child’s developmental journey. I strongly believe that women/parents should be given informed choice when it comes to their care, their births and beyond and I will support you in whatever choices you make. I am excited to be a part of your pregnancy, birth and parenting journey.
When I was pregnant with my first daughter, my experience of antenatal classes was somewhat mixed. I felt I was being told how I should give birth rather than being able to ask about things that worried me. I wanted to find out about all the available alternatives. This experience led me to train as a childbirth educator and I’ve now been teaching antenatal classes for 25 years. As an educator, I believe in making classes personal and aim to present classes in a way that gives parents confidence and removes some of the scarier aspects of birth and parenting. I like to think the classes are fun and a chance to gain knowledge that positively guides the birthing experience. My interests extend beyond antenatal, as I’m a qualified infant massage instructor. I also advise on child health committees and research in aspects of infant health.
Hi, I’m Kerri. I LOVE being around babies and children. Since having my son, Thomas 8 years ago, there is rarely a day that doesn’t go by without my house being full of them (babies and children I mean!!) I have worked in various roles with children for many years including more recently becoming a teacher aid for children with learning difficulties. I decided to train as a childbirth educator shortly after having my son and it is one of the best decisions I ever made. My passion for babies and the wellbeing of new parents increased even more having gone through, pregnancy, birth and parenting myself.
I really enjoy working with expectant parents and look forward to meeting you at one of our future courses or workshops.
